YOUR HOST
I'm your host, Professional nature photographer Don Orkoskey. This is the December edition of my free monthly nature photography meetups. I host these in and around Pittsburgh, most often in Frick Park. In addition to these meetups I teach photography, both group classes, and private lessons.
TYPES OF NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY
All types of nature photography are possible. From landscape to macro and wildlife to still-life, Frick truly has it all. Come learn where to find it in Frick! The October Nature Photography Meetup is open to all types of nature photographers.
GEAR REQUIREMENTS
It never matters what type of camera you have for the nature photography meetup. That includes smartphones. In addition, your skill level doesn't matter. Everyone is welcome.
AGE RESTRICTIONS
These events are always family friendly. Kids and teens with an interest in photography are always welcome.
MOBILITY CHALLENGES
Those with mobility challenges, strollers, etc. are always welcome. Many of the areas in the park are flat and paved. We sometimes venture off the flat paved areas. However, I always adapt the walk to those who show up.
INCLUSIVE & WELCOMING
The October Nature Photography Meetup, every monthly meetup I host, and every event I participate in are inclusive and welcoming. Everyone is welcome regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, and gender, or ability. Hate and discrimination are the only things not welcome at these meetups.
