Every month people just like yourself join pro photographer Don Orkoskey, for a two hour nature photo adventure.
These meetups are a great place to practice your photography skills. In addition, they're the perfect opportunity to find other nature photography enthusiasts. Plus, I'm always happy to answer any questions you have about nature and/or photography.
Everyone Is Welcome
Regardless of your gear or skill level you're welcome to participate. In addition, this is a family friendly event. Too, if you have any mobility challenges you're still welcome. That said, if you don't mind, please let us know upon arrival so that we can avoid any paths that might be problematic.
In addition, all of our photography classes and events are LGBTQ+ friendly, open to people of all races, ethnicities, religions, and status. In fact, hate and discrimination are the only things not welcome at any of our classes or photography meetups.

Frequently Asked Questions
I'm wildlife photographer and photography teacher Don Orkoskey. I'm also the owner of WDO Photography. I've been leading nature and wildlife photography walks and meetups for nearly 2 decades. I began to formally lead these monthly meetups after months of social isolation due to the Covid pandemic. They were a wonderful way to safely socialize with others.
Here is a list of commonly asked questions about the monthly nature photo meetups I host.
What kind of camera do I need?
Bring any camera or even none at all. Phone cameras work fine at this meetup. Alternatively, bring your DSLRs or Mirrorless camera. Want to bring a film camera? Please do. Honestly, the camera you bring is less important than what you can do with it.
So, bring any camera or even no camera. I don't have many cameras to rent or to lend. However, you're more than welcome to join us. If you ask in advance then I can try to secure you a camera. Too, if you just want to explore nature with us then come on out.

Where Do You Meet?
Atlanta
We meet monthly in Atlanta's Piedmont Park. The meetups are generally held late in the month on a Saturday or Sunday morning. However, the exact date fluctuates due to festivals and other events in the park as well as my teaching schedule.
