Here is your chance to learn to create amazing nature photos this July at my monthly nature photo meetup in Frick Park. If you photography or nature join me and other enthusiasts while we explore Frick Park and find incredible stuff to photograph right here in our beautiful city park!
Create Incredible Nature Photographs
Everyone is welcome, come create incredible nature photographs right here in the heart of Pittsburgh in Frick Park. This meetup is part of my free monthly nature photography get-togethers. I host these every month for people to learn from each other and learn to love the abundant nature photography opportunities that are all around us.
Event Details
Where: Frick Park, near the Frick Environmental Center
Free parking is available onsite and there are buses that travel close by
When: July 23rd 9:30 am to 11:30 am
Cost: Free
Host: I'm your host, pro-photographer Don Orkoskey, I've been leading these monthly meetups since 2020. I've taught photography since 2007, and I can't wait to meet you!
More Details: This event is open to everyone regardless of any photography skills. If you only have a phone you're welcome to attend, if you're just interested in nature and don't have any camera you're welcome as well.
People with mobility issues are encouraged to let me know when you arrive so I can ensure we don't take on any terrain that you are not comfortable on.
Families with kids are always welcome.
While we may wander a little at the start of the meetup we won't end up too far away from where we started so you can easily leave if you need to at any time.
Meet Your Host
I'm a full time professional photographer here in Pittsburgh. I photograph a lot of non-profit and corporate events, create lovely portraits of people here in Pittsburgh and beyond, and teach photography classes. When I'm not working as a photographer for other people I'm often in the woods or elsewhere doing nature photography. Alternatively, you might find me on the football (soccer) pitch, or spending time hiking, biking, or seeing films with my amazing wife Zhanna or just spending time with our cat Glasha.
I highly encourage you to sign up for one of my private photography lessons or group photography classes and to join my mailing list. I send a once-monthly newsletter full of great tips and articles for you. In addition I'm always happy to chat or answer questions. Send me a message through my contact page to ask me anything.
