Finding Nature To Photograph
This walk is a social event but is also about finding all sorts of nature to photograph. We'll see a variety of wildlife and plants. Here are a few things you might catch a photo of on this walk.
Wildlife You Might Photograph
The Frick Park meadow features well stocked bird feeders. These always bring out a variety of small and medium sized birds. There are also a lot of squirrel and chipmunk that hang around the feeders. Additionally the resident hawks in Frick hang around the area looking for small birds and mammals they can eat.
Spring time means babies so we might see the fresh spots of a newborn baby deer. Frick also contains foxes, larger rodents like ground hogs and other common woodland creatures.
Finally, macro photographers should have a field day with all of the insects and spiders.
Trees, Plants, and Flowers
If critters are not your thing there are loads of trees, plants, and flowers to photograph. Even if you don't have giant camera lenses to capture birds in flight or are not interested in insects you'll love all of the new life springing up in late March.
You Make the Walk Special
What makes this walk so special is the people just like yourself who join. The wide variety of nature lovers, birders, families, budding photographers, and pro photographers makes these walks truly amazing.
