Announcing Fantastic News: We’re Now Opening WDO Photography Atlanta

Here is some truly huge news! As of August 25th we're launching WDO Photography Atlanta! This exciting new branch of WDO Photography will be lead by me, Don Orkoskey, the owner of WDO Photography. However, I will be bringing on a number of long-time collaborators in Pittsburgh to help keep things running smoothly there.

You might be wondering what prompted this big move. After all, WDO Photography has been a Pittsburgh based photography company since 2007. That said, my amazing wife has accepted a visiting Associate Professorship in Atlanta.

Bringing The Best Photography To Atlanta

I'm bringing Atlanta the best headshots, event photography, and photography classes. Too, I'll be recruiting other amazing photographers in Atlanta to join my team there.

The Best Headshots in Atlanta

Starting on August 25th you'll be able to book headshots online in Atlanta with WDO Photography. In fact, I'm even offering same day headshot booking if you book early enough.

All headshots in Atlanta will be provided via my mobile studio. This is because I won't have a physical studio set up immediately. Therefore, I or my other photographers will come to your home or office to create the best headshots for you. Learn more about it on the Atlanta headshot photography page.

Atlanta Event Photography

In addition to the best headshots in Atlanta I'll be offering the same incredible event photography I've offered for the last 20 years in Pittsburgh. From headshot lounges to convention and conference photography, WDO Photography will provide the best event photography in Atlanta.

Photography Classes In Atlanta

Get ready for amazing photography classes Atlanta! Teaching photography classes is a big passion of mine. So, I'm incredibly excited to bring the same great photography classes I've taught in Pittsburgh to Atlanta. Of course, I'm still offering online photography classes as well. Therefore, no matter where you are, I can still help you improve your photography.

What About Pittsburgh?

As for the future of WDO Photography Pittsburgh we will remain in business. However, we're going to temporarily postpone a number of photography services in Pittsburgh while we arrange things with long time partners as well as some new faces.

Pittsburgh Is In Good Hands

To be honest with you all, it's never easy to pass the torch. In fact, I'm still doing a lot of behind the scenes work to get things right. Of course, that includes getting the right people in place to manage the day-to-day and complete jobs here in Pittsburgh. At the end of the day, I've got some amazing people so I know that WDO Photography Pittsburgh is in good hands.

That said, I struggled with the decision to keep WDO Photography Pittsburgh open. After all, entrusting that level of control and management of the business, even to the amazing people I've got in place, isn't easy. This is especially true after so many years in charge.

The Big Decision

At the end of the day, I realized that I've got so many incredible people. Too, they're people who I trust. I've worked with many of them for years. So, I know they're good people. Plus, I know they care about you and your needs. Therefore, I decided it wouldn't be right to shut down WDO Photography Pittsburgh.

Of course, I won't be giving up all control. In fact, I'm still going to come back for larger jobs. Too, I'm taking my time with the team to get things right before leaving.

My Incredible Team

As things come together I'll announce who is responsible for what. For example, the photography teachers we'll have taking over classes and offering their own incredible classes. Plus, we're putting together a team of headshot photographers in Pittsburgh that will come to you.

As we settle things in terms of responsibilities I'll introduce the team to you all. Look for those in future updates.

Long Distance Managing

I'm putting together an incredible team. However, I'm still going to be managing things from Atlanta for some time. Plus, I'll have access to client photos here. Too, I'll make sure that the quality of work is what you've always come to expect it to be.

In other words - you can still count on WDO Photography Pittsburgh to provide you the same high level of service that we always have. The biggest difference will be a few new faces.

Too, I want to hear from you. Partly I just really like to know how my clients are doing. After all, I've had a lot of you for a long time. As such, I've gotten to know you and will miss seeing you in person.

If you've not gotten a chance to read it yet, here is my thank you letter to you and everyone else in Pittsburgh. I really will miss this town. Plus, more than anything I will miss the great people like you who make Pittsburgh such an incredible place.
