April Free Nature Photo Adventure
Spring has sprung and the April Free Nature Photo Adventure will feature loads of great photo opportunities. This month we'll see birds, bugs, and flower buds. April is an ideal month to join this nature photography event. From seasoned pros to new photographers - everyone is welcome.
Frick Park Is Perfect For Nature Photography
If you've never been you might not know how perfect Frick Park is for nature photography. This expansive urban park in the heart of Pittsburgh's eastern neighborhoods is an oasis. It's home to a herd of deer, loads of small mammals, and a plethora of birds and bugs. Beyond the park's edges the woodland areas of Nine Mile Run extend all the way to the Monongahela River.
For more than two years I've been hosting these nature photography events in Frick. In that time I've photographed a variety of species of birds and mammals. Additionally, I've done macro photos of plants, mushrooms, and lots of interesting insects, spiders, and more.
Monthly Photography Adventures
Every month I host free nature photography adventures in Pittsburgh. From Frick Park to North Park and beyond around Pittsburgh come along to find great photography subjects every month. During these events we focus on general nature photography, macro, wildlife, and/or landscape photography. Even if you're brand new to photography you can join us, ask questions, and build general photography skill building.
Everyone is welcome!
