Is this class for me: Everyone interested in landscape photography is welcome. It is advisable to have either a DSLR or Mirrorless camera and a tripod but phone photographers are also welcome. This class is open to beginners but experienced photographers won’t be disappointed as we’ll discuss specifics on how to create the best Spring landscape photos.
Your Host: I’m professional nature photographer Don Orkoskey. I’ve been working as a professional photographer for more than 20 years. Additionally, I’ve taught photography classes in Pittsburgh since 2007.
Saturday May 25th
Saturday we’ll meet in the classroom, have a presentation on landscape photography, the specifics of landscape photography in the Spring, and a Q&A session. We’ll discuss exposure, composition, and more.
Sunday May 26th
Sunday we’ll meet at one of Pittsburgh’s best Springtime landscape photography locations (location details provided to attendees in advance). Here, you’ll practice taking landscape photos with my guidance and assistance. We’ll take advantage of the late afternoon sun, golden hour, and the beginnings of blue hour to create truly incredible landscape photos.
After this workshop you’ll be well versed in how to find and capture landscape scenes no matter what time of year it is. In addition, you’ll understand how to use your camera to control exposure. Plus, you’ll know how to use a variety of tools such as neutral density and polarizing filters.
