Fall 2022 Pittsburgh Photography Class For Beginners

Join me, pro photographer Don Orkoskey for my fall 2022 Pittsburgh photography class for beginners at the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden. This four week class starts Sept. 28th and will teach you everything you need to know about your camera, how to create the photos you want, and how to feel more confident doing so. Learn about all of your camera's features and what they do, about exposure, composition, and more. This class is fun and informative and you don't want to miss it!

When: Sept 28th, Oct. 5th, 12th, & 19th from 4 until 7 pm

Details: This is your opportunity to learn exactly what you need to create incredible photographs. Learn what every button on your camera does, how to capture what you see how you want, and how to make photos that will wow everyone.

What You'll Learn

Here are some examples of what you'll learn in this class:

• Master your camera - learn what all the buttons do and all of the features of your camera. You'll leave the class feeling comfortable knowing how to use all the features your camera comes with.
• Technical Aspects of Photography - learn exposure, focusing, white balance, and all of the technical aspects of photography. At the end of this class you'll feel confident in setting your exposure, finding focus and thinking about the technical aspects of photography.
• The Aesthetics of Photography - from the principles of design to story telling you'll learn how to make more visually appealing photos.

Class Structure

Each class is structured to help you learn and retain everything you need in order to grow and feel more confident as a beginning photographer. Each class will begin with an informative classroom session featuring a lecture and discussion, Q&A, and critique of homework.

After this you will have practical time in the amazing gardens around the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden to work hands-on with Don to apply what you've just learned. Between class there will also be a small assignment to help you practice at home.
