Pittsburgh Nature Photography
If you were not aware already, Pittsburgh is an incredible place to create nature photos. In fact, you don’t even need to leave the city to do so. Thanks to our amazing local parks you can capture all types of beautiful photos right here in the heart of Pittsburgh.
In 2020, as the pandemic dragged on, Pittsburgh photographer Don Orkoskey began to invite friends and anyone else interested to join him on weekly nature photography walks through Frick Park. Of course, Frick Park is nothing new to Don. He’s explored and photographed nature all throughout Frick for more than 20 years.
Eventually, as life began to normalize and Don became busy with paid work again, he continued to host these free nature photography meetups monthly. Read more about Don below and be sure to check out the FAQs if you have any questions about the meetup.

When not taking photos of nature Don does commercial photography for advertising and marketing, corporate and nonprofit events, headshots, and more.
