Pittsburgh Phortographers Group

Pittsburgh Photographers

You're a photographer in Pittsburgh, PA. So, if you're interested in meeting other photographers in Pittsburgh, keep reading. If you want to discuss how to collaborate, talk about the industry, or even just hang out then join us.

First, this group is open to all types of photographers in Pittsburgh. For example, I'm an event photographer, headshot photographer, commercial marketing and advertising photographer, and a photography teacher in Pittsburgh. Again, no matter what type of photographer you are, if you're in or around Pittsburgh, you're welcome here.

Second, over the last 25+ years I've gotten to know a ton of other great Pittsburgh photographers. As a result, I know that we're better when we are in community.

In fact, trying to go it alone in this town may break you. Therefore, if you're looking to grow, want to collaborate, or just want to know that you're not alone, then join me and a lot of other great local Pittsburgh photographers.

As Pittsburgh photographers we can gain valuable insight into the industry when we meet with each other. In addition, we can offer each other tips, advice, and support. Too, being able to meet other photographers in Pittsburgh who share your particular interest or specialty is very helpful. In fact, it can lead to partnerships, mentorships, and so much more.

Why We Meetup

Pittsburgh photography meetups happen in a variety of different locations. The most common are coffee shop for daytime get togethers or bars for evening fun. In addition, we can and do meet for shoots, photo walks, and other fun photography specific meetings.

Why We Meetup

The goal of the Pittsburgh Photographers Meetup is to get together at least once a month. So, I personally run a nature photography meetup monthly. In addition, I'm currently hosting monthly coffee meetups for photographers in Pittsburgh. That said, the idea isn't for any one photographer in Pittsburgh to own the group. After all, we're all in this together.

Additionally, there are no dues, no restrictions or policing of who shows up (unless you're very rude), and no other requirements. In fact, if you've never shot anything for money and are just interested in photography, you are still welcome. That said, this is a group primarily aimed at working photographers. Therefore, you'll get the most out of it if you're a working professional photographer in Pittsburgh, PA.
