Pittsburgh Photographers July Coffee Meetup
If you’re a working professional photographer in Pittsburgh, or aspire to be one please join us for the July Coffee Meetup. Pittsburgh Photographers hosts monthly Coffee Meetups. This is a casual networking event. Drink some coffee or tea, talk shop, and discuss whatever else you’d like.
Stop, Collaborate, and Listen
Meet other photographers, find ways to collaborate, and get to know each other better. Discuss issues in the industry locally and beyond, talk about emerging trends we’re seeing, trade information about marketing and promotion, business administration and taxes, location scouting, and a lot more.
Pittsburgh Photographers Are Better Together
I’m Pittsburgh photographer Don Orkoskey. It’s my strong belief that we’re better together. What does that mean? For me it means that we can learn from each other, support each other, and help move the local Pittsburgh photography industry forward for the benefit of all photographers in Pittsburgh.
These monthly coffee meetups give us a chance to meet each other, find ways to collaborate, and get to know each other better. Past meetups have lead to collaboration, advice on book-keepers and accountants, and leads for new clients.
If this sounds interesting please join us! That said, if you can’t make this one, please sign up for alerts and watch for the next one.
Additionally, please reach out to suggest dates or locations that work better for you. Plus, this is something I’m interested in sharing ownership of. Therefore, if you want to organize a meetup, for coffee or otherwise, let me know. I’m happy to share the info here to promote it.
Evening Edition
In previous months we’ve meet early in the day but with the days getting longer we’re going to have another evening edition. This time we’re meeting at Yinz Coffee in Bloomfield. It’s a great location with parking nearby and good drinks.
If you have ideas in mind for future meetups (for coffee, cocktails, a photo walk, or whatever) please let us know and we’ll promote it.
Venue Ideas?
Let me know if you have venue ideas. Finding coffee shops that are open late in Pittsburgh is a bit of a challenge but we like to move things around a bit so if you know of others we’d love to hear about them.
Pittsburgh Photography
In addition to this meetup I’ve created the website Pittsburgh.photography. This is a hub for all Pittsburgh photographers to publicize their business through our directory, to share articles in order to boost SEO through backlinks, and to promote the local photography industry.
If you’ve not done so already then please sign up to be included in the directory. It’s free!
Additionally, reach out if you want to be involved in helping grow the website (which is still pretty sparce). I’d love to see some more articles which, again, would include a backlink to your website (as the author). Finally, if you’re hosting any photography related event let me know and I’ll share that information on Pittsburgh.photography as well.
