May Coffee Meetup For Pittsburgh Photographers

If you’re a working professional photographer in Pittsburgh, or aspire to be one please join us for this month’s Coffee Meetup. This is a casual networking event. Drink some coffee or tea, talk shop, and discuss whatever else you’d like.

Meet other photographers, find ways to collaborate, and get to know each other better. Discuss issues in the industry locally and beyond, talk about emerging trends we’re seeing, trade information about marketing and promotion, business administration and taxes, location scouting, and a lot more.

Pittsburgh Photographers Are Better Together

I’m Pittsburgh photographer Don Orkoskey. It’s my strong belief that we’re better together. What does that mean? For me it means that we can learn from each other, support each other, and help move the local Pittsburgh photography industry forward for the benefit of all photographers in Pittsburgh.

These monthly coffee meetups give us a chance to meet each other, find ways to collaborate, and get to know each other better. Past meetups have lead to collaboration, advice on book-keepers and accountants, and leads for new clients.

Evening Edition

In previous months we’ve meet early in the day but with the days getting longer we’re going to have another evening edition. This time we’re meeting at Shibam Coffee in Oakland. This is a Yemeni coffee shop. If you’re not familiar Yemen is a critical location in the history of coffee and it’s spread around the world. It’s also one of the best locations for growing it.

In addition to this meetup I’ve created the website Pittsburgh.photography. This is a hub for all Pittsburgh photographers to publicize their business through our directory, to share articles in order to boost SEO through backlinks, and to promote the local photography industry.
