Join Pittsburgh photographer Don Orkoskey of WDO Photography for the July edition of his monthly nature photography meetup in Frick Park. Create incredible photos of nature with me, Pittsburgh photographer and photography teacher Don Orkoskey of WDO Photography. Join me for my monthly nature photo meetup in Pittsburgh’s incredible Frick Park. This urban park is home to an abundance of animals, plants, fungi, and more. It’s impossible to not create a bunch of amazing nature photos at these meetups! ABOUT THE NATURE PHOTO MEETUP This and all of my events are open to everyone regardless of skill level, age, or type of equipment. In addition, those with mobility issues are always welcome as there are lots of opportunities here to see nature from level, paved areas. In fact, the Parks Conservatory are in the process of constructing a new, fully accessible area which will make the park even more welcoming. Speaking of welcoming, everyone is welcome at these and all of my meetups, workshops, classes and tours. The only thing not welcome is hate. April Nature Photography Meetup in Frick Park
The April Nature Photography Meetup Join me, pro photographer Don Orkoskey for the April edition of my monthly free nature photography meetups in Frick Park on April 14th Join the April Nature Photography Meetup in Frick to photograph budding flowers, amazing wildlife, and more! WHEN April 14th 2024 from 9:30 am to approx. 11:30 am. Please note, I will be there from start to finish but we’re never more than 15 minutes from the parking lot so you can leave at any time. Additionally, Frick is an amazing public park and you’re welcome to stay for as long as you’d like even after I’ve left if you’d like. WHERE Please meet us at the end of the promenade (around the benches) beyond the Frick Environmental Center at the entrance to the meadow. There is ample free parking in and around this area including a large lot under the solar panels and parallel parking in front of the gatehouses. The address is 2005 Beechwood Blvd. Pittsburgh, PA 15217. COST This event is free but donations are greatly appreciated. You can buy a ticket that includes a donation or donate at the event through cash, Venmo, or any other means you’d prefer.

ATTENTION!!! Due to the Great Race the location has been changed to the lower Frick Park Parking Lot. Directions: take S. Braddock Ave to Regent Square and turn at the red light on Hutchinson, (turn away from/opposite the GetGo on Hutchinson). At Lancaster Ave turn right onto Frick Ln and drive down to the parking lot. If you need an address to put into GPS use 1045 Lancaster Ave. as the parking lot doesn’t have an address. 1045 is the house on the corner. When you’ve arrived that house will be on your right, turn onto Frick Ln (unmarked, but there is a wooden sign saying Frick Park opposite 1045 Lancaster) and follow that road down to the parking lot. July Nature Photography Meetup Don’t miss this month’s nature photography meetup in Frick Park near the Frick Environmental Center with professional photographer Don Orkoskey of WDO Photography. This free, family friendly event, includes opportunities to see and photograph all types of wildlife from birds to butterflies and macro photography opportunities including flowers, insects, mushrooms and more. Everyone is welcome! Meet Don near the fountain by the Frick Environmental Center and find out about the incredible nature photography opportunities we have right here in Pittsburgh. North Park Wildlife Nature Photography Adventure Join me, pro photographer Don Orkoskey of WDO Photography at the Gold Star Shelter for my North Park wildlife nature photography adventure for January! This is part of my monthly nature photography walk series I lead for free around Pittsburgh. As always this is an all ages, all skill levels walk. As it is January please make sure to pay attention to the weather and dress appropriately. Additionally we’ll likely see birds and other small wildlife that can be hard to photograph without a telephoto lens. That doesn’t mean you can’t or shouldn’t join us if you don’t have a telephoto lens, everyone is welcome! I’m professional photographer Don Orkoskey, owner of WDO Photography.
