Do you want to capture beautiful birds in your own backyard? Join me, professional wildlife photographer, Don Orkoskey, for my bird Backyard Bird Photography Workshop at the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden.
This bird photography workshop will focus on how to create or find areas that attract birds, how to set up a blind or otherwise disguise oneself so that birds feel comfortable coming close, as well as lens choices and exposure settings for bird photography.
We’ll also discuss what NOT to do (i.e. teach birds to eat out of your hand). Classroom discussion will be followed by photographing the many attractive birds found throughout the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden. Please bring a camera with a telephoto lens (200mm or longer), a tripod or monopod, a small notebook or larger hardbound notebook and writing utensil along with curiosity.
This class is open to bird and wildlife photography beginners. Too, seasoned and experienced photographers, bird enthusiasts, new birders, and those looking to expand their wildlife photography practice are equally welcome. Birds are excellent wildlife photography subjects. So, come learn how to capture better photos of these amazing and beautiful creatures.
Additionally, like all of my classes, my backyard bird photography workshop are open to everyone. Regardless of age, sex, gender, orientation, nationality, ethnicity, belief structure, or any other category – all are welcome. My photography classes are inclusive and the only thing not welcome is hate.
Photographing birds in your own backyard is possible in Pittsburgh and around the world. Therefore, join me for this enlightening photography class and improve your skills as a bird photographer on June 15th at the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden.
My name is Don Orkoskey. I’ll be your photography instructor. I teach photography classes in Pittsburgh and online photography classes. In addition, I’m a full time working photographer. While most of my work is commercial photography, I spend a great deal of time photographing nature and wildlife. Plus, over the years I’ve sold my work to a variety of buyers both commercially and for private display.
