Question 2

What is commercial photography?

Accepted Answer

Commercial photography is the creation of professional images used to promote a business, product, service, or organization. These photographs may be used on websites, advertisements, social media, brochures, annual reports, email campaigns, and other marketing materials. The goal isn't simply to create beautiful photographs. It's to help businesses communicate clearly, build trust, and attract new customers.

Question 3

What is a professional headshot?

Accepted Answer

A professional headshot is a portrait designed to represent an individual in a business or professional setting. Headshots are commonly used for LinkedIn profiles, company websites, speaker biographies, business cards, marketing materials, and press releases. A great headshot helps people appear confident, approachable, and trustworthy before they ever meet in person.

Question 4

What is the difference between a headshot and a branding photo?

Accepted Answer

A professional headshot focuses primarily on your face and expression and is designed to create a strong first impression. Branding photography includes a wider variety of images that show you working, interacting with clients, using products, or telling the story of your business. Many businesses benefit from having both professional headshots and branding photography.

Question 5

What kinds of businesses do you photograph?

Accepted Answer

We work with businesses of all sizes, including small businesses, nonprofits, universities, corporations, startups, healthcare providers, law firms, real estate professionals, consultants, and entrepreneurs. Whether you need photographs for a single employee or an entire organization, we tailor every session to your goals.

Question 6

Can you photograph our entire team at our office?

Accepted Answer

Yes. WDO Photography offers on-location corporate headshots using a portable professional studio. We photograph employees efficiently while minimizing disruptions to your workday and create consistent, professional images that match your company's branding.

Question 7

What should I wear for professional headshots?

Accepted Answer

Solid colors, well-fitting clothing, and outfits that reflect your profession generally work best. We provide guidance before your session and help you choose clothing that complements your skin tone, your profession, and how your photographs will be used.

Question 8

How long does a headshot session take?

Accepted Answer

Individual headshot sessions typically last between 30 and 60 minutes depending on your needs. Corporate team sessions are scheduled based on the number of employees and can often be completed quickly with minimal interruption to your business.

Question 9

Do you help people who don't like having their picture taken?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Most people aren't professional models, and many feel uncomfortable in front of the camera. Every session is relaxed and collaborative. We guide you through natural poses, expressions, and lighting to help you feel comfortable and look confident.

Question 10

What kinds of events do you photograph?

Accepted Answer

We photograph conferences, conventions, corporate meetings, networking events, fundraisers, award ceremonies, nonprofit events, company celebrations, and other professional gatherings. Our goal is to create images that document your event while also providing valuable marketing content for future promotions.

Question 11

How will I receive my photographs?

Accepted Answer

Your final images are delivered digitally in high resolution and are ready for websites, social media, print, and marketing materials. If you need images prepared for specific uses, we're happy to discuss those requirements before your session.

Question 12

Why should I hire a professional photographer instead of using a smartphone?

Accepted Answer

Modern smartphones take excellent snapshots, but professional photography provides consistent lighting, expert composition, flattering posing, and high-resolution images that strengthen your brand and create a more polished, professional appearance. For businesses, professional photography often becomes a long-term marketing asset that supports advertising, recruiting, and customer trust.

Question 13

Why is professional photography important for businesses?

Accepted Answer

Professional photography helps businesses make strong first impressions, build trust, and communicate quality. Whether customers discover your company through your website, social media, advertising, or printed materials, high-quality photography reinforces your brand and gives potential clients confidence in your products and services.

Question 14

Why choose WDO Photography?

Accepted Answer

WDO Photography combines more than 25 years of professional photography experience with a deep understanding of how businesses use photography. We don't rely on cookie-cutter lighting or posing. Every session is tailored to your goals, whether you're creating advertising images, photographing your executive team, documenting an important event, or updating your professional headshot. Our goal is simple: create photographs that help people trust you and your business.

Question 15

What is a headshot lounge?

Accepted Answer

Conference headshots are often referred to by event planners as headshot lounges. This helps attendees to feel more relaxed. Plus, the name sounds more upscale than headshot booth or photo station. Additionally, many event planners try to provide a relaxing environment for their conference headshots because many people don't like having their photos taken.

Question 16

How many attendees can you photograph per hour?

Accepted Answer

At WDO Photography we focus our efforts on creating headshots that your attendees will love. We don't rush people through and always allow attendees to see their photos. Despite this, we often photograph more than one attendee per minute. This comes down to our 20 plus years of experience photographing headshots. Therefore, we can easily produce 40 to 50 headshots or more per hour.

Question 17

How much space do you need? What's the footprint that you take up?

Accepted Answer

For each photographer we provide we require a space at least 10 feet by 15 feet with at least 10 foot tall ceilings. We also require access to at least one 110v outlet (standard household power) per station. If the headshot lounge is being sponsored then we ask that you add the space needed to accomidate the sponsor's materials to the above figures.

Question 18

What Do we need to provide and what do you bring with you?

Accepted Answer

Beyond the space and electric needs; we ask is that we're placed away from windows where the sun might interfere with the photos. At venues such as the Georgia World Congress Center and the numerous great conference centers around Atlanta this is typically not a problem. However, we ask that you take that into consideration.
We bring a complete mobile studio package including backdrops, lights, posing stools, and everything else we need to replicate a full headshot studio experience.

Question 19

Do you touch up the headshots?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely, every photo is personally checked by an real human editor, (not by an AI) and we remove blemishes, lint, fly-away hair, and provide other touch-ups without dramatically altering the attendees appearance. In addition, they can always request additional touch-ups for no additional fee.

Question 20

Do you work with conference headshot sponsors?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! This is the best way for you to provide high quality conference headshots to your attendees. We're happy to work with your sponsor allowing them to scan attendee badges and provide their marketing materials along with the link to the headshots. We can even accept payment for the headshot lounge directly from the sponsor.

Question 21

Do you help people who don't like having their picture taken?

Accepted Answer

Of course. Most people aren't professional models, and many feel uncomfortable in front of the camera. Despite our speed, every attendee is met with a smile. We know how to help them relaxed and feel that the experience is collaborative. We guide conference attendees through natural poses, expressions, and lighting to help them feel comfortable and look confident.

Question 22

How fast will you deliver the headshots?

Accepted Answer

We provide standard 3 to 5 day turn-around. However, we are happy to provide rush service, even same day, for an additional fee. Plus, we offer onsite printing should you want your conference attendees to have a take-away. We can even incorporate your or the sponsor's logo into each printed headshot.

Question 23

How do you deliver the headshots?

Accepted Answer

When it comes to the delivery of your convention headshots we're flexible. We can deliver the photos in a single gallery, we can scan badges and deliver the photos individually, or we can hand all the photos over to you or the headshot lounge sponsor for them to deliver them.

Question 24

How does offering conference headshots give my event an advantage?

Accepted Answer

Many conferences are offering headshots these days. However, not all conference headshot photographers leave your attendees feeling like they got something worth using. Our goal is to make sure your attendees not only love their photo but will use it on LinkedIn, social media accounts, even their website. When they do, people will ask where they got it done. This word-of-mouth to their colleagues and others will reflect positively on your event and increase future attendance.

Question 25

Why choose WDO Photography?

Accepted Answer

WDO Photography combines more than 25 years of professional photography experience with a deep understanding of headshot photography. We work incredibly fast but we still provide each attendee with the attention they deserve. We don't ever rush anyone through, we allow them to see their photos, and we make sure they love it or we redo it until they are happy. Our conference attendees headshots make attendees feel great about your conference. They use their headshots everywhere and that is our goal.
